Hello! My name is Oliver Robillo, but known to most people as “Blogie”. I am a special events organizer, instructor, Japanese language translator, and Web content developer based in Davao City, Philippines. I suppose I’m a pro-blogger as well, since countless of my waking hours are poured into this publishing effort. I started blogging in 2004 but took it up earnest in 2007, which was about the same time that I discovered WordPress, thanks to a good friend who recommended it to me. Today, I promote WordPress, conduct seminars, give talks about Web publishing, organize WordCamps — in other words, I’m a WordPress Evangelist.

This blog is all about my activities surrounding the world’s #1 blogging platform and content management system.

  • Brought WordCamp to the Philippines in 2008, and organized the event again in 2009, in Davao City and in Metro Manila
  • Conducted WordPress seminars & training workshops in Davao City, General Santos City, Tagum City, Cagayan de Oro City, Zamboanga City
  • Conducted introductory courses on WordPress as a content management system for corporations, small- and medium-sized enterprises, and non-profit organizations
  • Developed websites for hotels, restaurants and other businesses using WordPress
  • Maintains several WordPress blogs for various concerns
